The Biker Experience and Lifestyle
This blog will cover my experience on a sport bike, a dirt bike, and later, a cruiser. I will detail my adventures with videos and pictures of all the places my partner and I go, from dining and buying accessories at bike shops to meeting different people who share our lifestyle. Above all, I'll be sharing the fun of the ride. I will also include photos and videos of our sport bike, Hiishu, to document our experience.
To me, the biker lifestyle is an extension of my definition of a "Rebel," which I explain on my website, CriesOfTheGoth.com. I believe it's a part of my chosen lifestyle and contributes greatly to the idea of "being free."
Motorcycle riding is something that either comes naturally to a person or it doesn't. For my partner and me, it's a lifestyle we embrace along with other aspects of our lives. Eventually, we plan to take a cross-Canada trip on a cruiser, which will be the ultimate fun. I'm eager to visit biker bars, stay at cool motels, and meet great people who share our lifestyle.
Whenever we enter a new lifestyle, we like to explore all its aspects. This is very important to me when embarking on something new. It's a mistake to judge something or form a negative opinion of it without fully experiencing and understanding it. Most people only look at the negative or positive, depending on their mindset, but I believe taking a neutral standpoint results in a more sound understanding.
Riding gear is also something to consider. It's costly but worth it and is part of the lifestyle. Wearing long jeans and a jacket in the summer is a challenge because of the humidity, so next time I think I'll try wearing lighter clothes. You can carry a small backpack with essentials like a cellphone, money, and a drink you might buy when you stop. Nothing fancy is required, which is why we like it.
This past weekend was one of the best I've ever had. It was completely spontaneous and incredibly fun. Those words are an understatement for the rush you feel sitting on a "rocket"—which is how I would describe our Hiishu. Riding on the back of my partner's motorcycle was an awesome rush.
The only small hurdle we faced was that the storage gate closed early, and we were unaware, as it's usually accessible 24 hours a day. This didn't stop us from parking our beloved bike in front of our second car. We simply took the bike back early in the morning and got our new car out.
We love riding, feeling the wind, grabbing ice cream and coffee, and just enjoying life. This is because most of what we embark on becomes a lifestyle.
We also rode in the classic car cruise at night on our motorcycle, Hiishu. She is our excuse to go out and cruise the town in style. Riding is an excellent source of content that truly depicts our lifestyles, as most are really a community if you look closely—like trucking, motorcycling, and RV touring. It is simple and enjoyable. Hopefully, we'll get some hot dogs tonight and maybe some ice cream or coffee.
I also found a schoolbag that I can use as a riding backpack. I've learned it's best to keep it as light as possible to be as aerodynamic as you can on a bike. So I only put essentials like wipes, keys, a phone, lip balm, and a credit card in case of emergency. I'll expand on this as I go. For now, let's stay young and ride into the wind!
